Bar Lempicka is a stylish brasserie and cocktail bar in the heart of Amsterdam. The interior design, as well as the name (derived from art deco figurehead Tamara de Lempicka), is a modern interpretation of the roaring twenties: classical art deco elements combined with a modern interior create a warm, authentic atmosphere. With its unique location on the corner of Sarphatistraat/Amstel, next to the Amstel hotel and only a stone’s throw away from theatre Carré and the Hermitage, bar Lempicka is the ideal base for your cultural outing. Seven days a week from 9:00 a.m. you are welcome for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks. Our chefs are serving à la carte Mediterranean cuisine until 10:30 p.m., and a various bar menu to accompany your drinks. Enjoy the magnificent view from our terrace, or take a seat at the impressive bar and try our delicious cocktails while listening to a live jazz performance.

The food and drinks were okay. We sat at the bar and watched the wait staff use their hands to get ice for drinks and handle food after rubbing a nose! GooglePlace - September 2017

Nice beers, ciders ++ for those who are gluten-free and good food at reasonable prices on a sunny terrace. GooglePlace - August 2017

Only for cocktails on Wednesday where is half price. Food is very mediocre. The fried chicken was less tasty than KFC and you can have a much better burger at Burgermeester for half the price. The meat came with grass and none of the 2 waitresses knew if that was part of decoration or meant to be eaten. I will go again for the view, the cosy interior and atmosphere. Stick to the drinks. The bar was alright, with an average selection of drinks and prices about in line with bars in the center of Amsterdam. The burger they serve is fantastic. On the negative side, though, the interior was EXTREMELY warm and uncomfortable (I was sweating), and their whiskey pour was a bit stingy, about half of what I had expected. Go here if you're looking for a burger and a beer and are willing to sit outside. If it's raining, though, I'd avoid it. GooglePlace - July 2017
