Cosy ambience, very dutch and local, food prices are excellent. The pumpkin soup is amazing ;)

Good service and comfort food with cold beer and a view over the canal - perfect!

It doesn't have too many options, and the portions are small when compared to the prices

Had the most horrible interaction with the guy I assume is the owner- moved a chair into an area it wasn't allowed. Totally fine, happy to move the chair back but he was SO INCREDIBLY RUDE. Grabbed it back, then we lost out other table and he just scoffed at us. Not a tourist, I live here, but even if that was why he was mean, it's really not acceptable. The exception was a really lovely younger waiter who almost redeemed the others... but go somewhere else- there are plenty of other lovely places near by to enjoy the delightful sun canalside x

We had just arrived in town and found this place a few blocks from the Anne Frank Museum. My dad said he enjoyed his beer and we ate a few of their appetizers. They had outdoor seating available as well, so you could take in views of the canals while enjoying your drink and food. The bitterballen and cheese platter were very good and filling. The service we received was spectacular. I don't drink, so I was thankful for the recommended local alternative. A grown man drinking European strawberry milk in a bar...I felt like a boss!
