Worst dining experience ever. It used to be one of my favorite restaurant, every time I go Amsterdam I go to Sichuan restaurant. However, the service got worse and worse.
I brought a friend to Sichuan, my friend ordered his favorite Chinese dish, which he always order almost in all Chinese restaurant. When the serve got dish to us, we found out it just a half of amount as normal. We complained but the serve said it just like that, because other customers has complained the amount of food is too much so that the restaurant changed it. I don't accept this explaination. Sichuan is not a fancy 4 or 5 star restaurant, less dish in a big plate is not their style. Me and my friends, we almost tried all the Chinese restaurants in Amsterdam and Rotterdam, and we are also the regular customer of Sichuan, so I didn't understand why they gave me such a ridiculous explaination. I told them I didn't want any discount for the meal, I just wanna tell them this was not right, for the customer, we paid food with full price but get half dish, it's unacceptable. Then a guy, seems like manager, came to me, told me that customer shouldn't complain about the amount of the dish, we get what we suppose to have. He said as a customer, I was so just bored so I want to bring something up, and all of these are my fault.
I don't expect restaurant trains all their staff, but I think at least they should treating customer with all the respect. I didn't feel I get any of that, and they were just being rude. In the end, we didn't eat but paid and left, without any apologize. This is the worse experience I have ever had, will not go to that restaurant again.

Very nice waitress and very accommodating with some the variations I made to the menu. I am a very big fan of spice and this place exceeded my level (I asked for it) and it was worth it. Dumplings were great and close to my favorite place in Singapore.
Also, I got tap water with my beer. So not sure what was happening before but seems they have come around.
