Amazing food with lovely atmosphere! Away from center to avoid crowds, we had a great breakfast here to start a day. GooglePlace - June 2017

Good place for a bread breakfast or lunch. Bit on the expensive side for what you get. Also could be very warm and crowded inside. Try a lunch here. Located at the entrance of Westerpark. GooglePlace - June 2017

The ambience of this establishment is absolutely the best aspect. Fresh flowers and beautiful plants surround you wherever you are seated. With the large doors open to the patio, the restaurant also has an incredibly airy and fresh feel to it. Being tourists, we appreciated the menus in English and incredibly friendly and helpful staff as well. Tasty food rounded out the whole experience for us. Overall a great breakfast spot in a neat area of Amsterdam. GooglePlace - May 2017

Walking into "De Bakkerswinkel" is like walking into the living room of your mother's best friend - It is this childhood memory that everyone somehow has of this place full of warmth, cosy smells and something new to discover everywhere you look. You will be surrounded by friends, couples, families and quiet travellers alike and the fact that a combination of all of these are still enjoying the food in peace and quiet speaks volumes of the general cosy atmosphere. If you are lucky you might even get to pet one of the very welcome visiting dogs relaxing under the tables. Their high tea is an excellent way of not only spending an afternoon, but also to get a taste of a wide selection of their wonderful menu items, sweet and savoury! While the service was a little slow, it was absolutely understandable considering the late hour I visited (1 h before closing time) and the staff made more than up for it by being absolutely lovely. I can highly recommend you visit this place if you like the taste of sweet pastries in familiar strangers living rooms! GooglePlace - April 2017

I had breakfast(factory breakfast) and a hot chocolate. I loved it! The extra topping (bacon / cheese) is well worth. Fair prices, great food, quite crowded but found a big enough table. I totally recommend this place for breakfast / brunch / lunch. GooglePlace - January 2017
