Ons sfeervol restaurant heeft een authentieke Amsterdamse uitstraling, u kunt bij ons genieten van een bruisende lunch of diner. Sommige gasten zeggen zich zelfs te wanen in een Franse brasserie. Wij zijn 7 dagen per week geopend, óók voor lunch als één van de weinigen in Amsterdam, dus ook in het weekend. Onze specialiteiten, oesters, verse zeetong en diverse plateau fruits de mer vindt u terug op onze menukaart. Maar uiteraard komt u ook gerechten van deze tijd tegen. Veel concert-en theaterbezoekers hebben ons al gevonden, wij liggen dan ook op steenworp afstand van de Stadschouwburg, De La Mar Theater & Paradiso. Voor deze gelegenheid serveren wij een theatermenu tot 18.30 naast de a la carte kaart. Maar voor alleen een paar verse oesters en een lekker glas wijn bent u ook zeker welkom. Wij hebben dan ook een uitgebreide Frans georiënteerde wijnkaart en schenken we tevens een groot aantal wijnen per glas.

We've lived in Amsterdam for nearly 20 years and been here several times as we live around the corner. Tonight was unfortunately a terrible experience out of all of those times. Has it changed hands? We ordered Sancerre 2015 and when it arrived it was 2016 which luckily we spotted, a touch of fraud anyone? We waited a good 50 minutes for our first drink. I dont think they do zoning so while they have many staff there is no continuity and people get forgotten which is fair enough. It took over an hour for the crab starter to arrive. We both found it very dry to the taste but soaked in water to try and bring it to life again. The main course of turbot was really wonderful. We only discussed our food amongst ourselves towards the end of the meal and agreed it was not fresh and we did mention this when we got the bill. We still paid the full amount although the waitress was good enough to mention this wasnt the first time she had heard that. Approximately two hours after eating the crab to the two of us have had extreme toilet issues. We decided to the call the restaurant to speak with the manager. It has always been the lovely glamorous older lady but its now a younger chap who clearly doesnt care about customers. We had no apology, he didnt have concern about his other customers potentially getting unwell. He left us hanging on the phone wanting to find out who had been our waitress. Disappointed. This place has gone down hill drastically. The quality of the food was poor, it made us both unwell. Service was very very slow. Desire to rectify an issue non existent. The manager seemed more interested in having dinner with his mates at another table. I'd give this experience zero stars if I could. We'll take our money to the Seafood Bar on Spui or Van Baerlestraat when we want a fish supper. GooglePlace - August 2017

We just came back from a meal at the oester bar. 25 EUR per person for a crab starter that was completely dry and gone off. It had clearly been hanging around all weekend and now my partner and I are now both ill as a result. For those prices you expect michellin standards, not fish that has been hanging around for days on end brought to you with bad service. We also ordered an expensive bottle of wine 60 EUR for a 2015 sancerre, and then they brought the 2016 - which they failed to mention (because they wanted to charge us for the more expensive vintage). Took 50 mins to get a drink, and even longer for the horrible food to arrive. When we rang the manager to let him know we both were ill he didn't believe us and was rude, didn't offer any gesture of apology. I will never go again. GooglePlace - August 2017
