Tips from the Net @ De Ysbreeker
Great place for a drink or to get a bite to eat in Amsterdam. Reasonably priced food, snacks and drinks, with a great view outside, but also nicely decorated and spacious on the inside. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. A very local place that seems to have been around forever, but is only open as a restaurant-café since 2010.
Juts be careful going to the restroom after a few beers on the waterside terrace, there is a bicycle highway you will have to cross... just be like Frogger and you should be fine ;-)GooglePlace - June 2017
Good for breakfast and brunch. Inside and outside sittings are available. The portions are enough big for filling the stomach. All foods are freshly cooked.GooglePlace - June 2017
Excellent go-to-place for good food and great drinks. Staff always helpful, friendly, (just a few exceptions) and cheerful. Awesome hotspot frequently visited by locals. You can pay with credit cards. GooglePlace - May 2017
one of my fav places for lunch, nice big french menu. I especially love the fact the have a full dessert menu during the day also!GooglePlace - May 2017
We eat here every Saturday.
1. One of the best places for breakfast (try to Croque Madame or the Truffle spread scrambled eggs).
2. Also for lunch and dinner - food is good and portions are not too small. It's hard to find good food in Amsterdam and the food here almost never let's down.
3. Great beers - large tap beer variety, beer is very fresh (people drink there a lot).
4. Nice outside seating, or, if you can score a table next to the window - it's also nice
5. Prices not too high
1. Service could be better. The Dutch service is notoriously bad and the server here is a bit better than average but it's still not very good.
2. Inside sitting mostly sucks - way too dark. Unless you can score a window table, which is very hard.
3. Not too many veggie/vegan optionsGooglePlace - March 2017

Their version of eggs Benedict was delicious - poached eggs, Hollandaise sauce, smoked salmon, on dutch bread. Heel lekker!Foursquare - June 2013
Surely a must in Amsterdam. Best lunch menu in town. Try crap soup and Gerardus Blonde.Foursquare - May 2013

Even when it is not sunny, get the outside table (which is heated) and enjoy the lovely view of Amstel. Coffee is great, they have nice magazines and very nice staff. Can be my fav place in A'dam.Foursquare - October 2012

Go here for breakfast or lunch. With nice weather make sure to sit on the terrace and order a 'wit biertje'. Also a great spot for business meetingsFoursquare - March 2012
