Very nice Ethiopian restaurant. Think spicy meat stews with Injera (sourdough "pancakes") and all kinds of little tasty side dishes. Prices are reasonable and the dishes can be completely gluten free when you order the traditional Injera. GooglePlace - September 2017

I had the vegan sample plate and it tasted amazing and authentic. I also tried the Ethiopian beer, and tasted very similar to Heine. I tried several other African restaurants in Amsterdam, while those were good, I felt that this was the absolute best. They have clean bathrooms, wifi, and a friendly staff. I would like to point out to foreigners that they don't accept Visa, so make sure to bring euros. It was sad to see many Mokummers bypass the restaurant almost in a hesitant way, as if they wanted to try but did not know what to expect. Everyone was just eyeballing my food.... Well if you are in Amsterdam, you really need to give this place a shot. You will not be disappointed. GooglePlace - September 2017

The best African restaurant in town! Delicious food and good drinks. They even have a cocktail! I loved it! GooglePlace - July 2017

Very good. There are several Ethiopian restaurants in Amsterdam, all are pretty good and Ibis is among them. The only negative note - which costs them a star in this review - is the waiting time. I understand that quality food cannot be prepared ahead of time, but it took more than one and a half hours between choosing our dish and finally eating it. It's a bit too much to stomach, especially if it means hurrying up and still finishing way too late. Pity, I hope next time will be more organized GooglePlace - April 2017
