Meat West and Graceland BAR-B-Q: Whoever said meat was men’s food?
Meat West and Graceland BAR-B-Q: Whoever said meat was men’s food? One of the many trends that has taken Amsterdam by storm in the past year or so is meat. Barbecued meat, to be precise, and preferably from a Big Green Egg. We saw Julius Bar & ... continue Amsterdam Foodie · Blog

Pretty crappy experience, its expensive for what you get. And what you get is just not what you want. The spareribs are raw(they smoked it for 8 hours is what they said), the chicken was tasteless, the pieces of meat were very dry and unchewable and just uneatable and the fries were dry. When we said something about it, they explained smoking spareribs is an uncontrolled process, you never know what you are going to get. Forrest Gump said the same. No, dont go here, instead go to Febo next door, they have an extremely controlled cooking proces, very tasty and cheap. GooglePlace - July 2017

Very nice and cozy place. Ribs and pull pork are nice. Not so sure about chicken wings. Side dishes like beans and corn are great. The corn bread is awesome. If you group is big make sure to choose the family menu, basic is good enough GooglePlace - June 2017

Pretty good ribs, from a real smoker. Not the greatest, but definitely some of the best I've had in Europe. Some good beers as well. Friendly service, good atmosphere. A good joint. I would come back. GooglePlace - May 2017

One of the few places in Amsterdam where BBQ is done properly. Make sure to try the exotic desserts such as the Fat Elvis cake (Peanut butter, banana and bacon!) GooglePlace - May 2017

As a Georgia boy raised on Southern BBQ, I can testify that this joint is as authentic as it gets outside Dixie. The pork ribs and sauce are on point. The sweet tea and lemonade are like Mama made it. The staff and ambiance offer that famous "Southern hospitality" (on both occasions I've eaten here, the owner/chef personally delivers the meal to the table). The sides and pies, in my opinion, could "get back to the basics" and be offered at a lower price. The kitchen is a bit slow, but hell...this is slow cooked food made with lots of love to be enjoyed with friends and good company; so like a true Southerner, don't be in a rush when you plan a meal here.
