Description

Guts & Glory is the first restaurant of Freek van Noortwijk (chef), Guillaume de Beer (chef) and Johanneke van Iwaarden (sommelier). Every three months the style of the restaurant changes. Currently we are cooking a menu with only Classic French food including the wine pairings.

The service was great, so was the decor. The dish recipe concept was fun knowing that they update the menu every month. But their knowledge of restrictive or allergy ingredients were worrisome. But worth checking out once at least. GooglePlace - December 2017

Best food I ate in a long time. Service was perfect and atmosphere was typical Dutch "gezellig". If you can get a reservation at this place then you should. GooglePlace - December 2017

Fantastic meal in Amsterdam, amazing local ingredients great value for a tasting menu. Lovely staff and informal non pretentious setting. 100% recommend for any food lovers wanting to try something different and local. Thanks guts and glory! GooglePlace - December 2017

Great service, great food. Well worth the price tag. The vegetarian menu I ordered was very tasteful and well prepared. GooglePlace - November 2017

This is the most ripped off I've felt at a restaurant in a long long time. The 'five course meal' consisted of: Herring - Pretty tasty but very light Brussel Sprouts in Butter - about three brussel sprouts per person, not exaggerating Eel Broth with Leek - This was the most insulting to be considered a course, it was literally half a cup of BROTH with a few tiny strands of Leek. This cannot be justified as a course under any circumstance. Rabbit - This was good, but just one finger size portion of "wild bunny" per person. There was also a shared plate of rabbit crumble on the side that was adventurous, but tasty. Dessert We each had one glass of wine. The bill was 60euro a person and had big font saying 'Service Not Included', another first for me in Amsterdam. They are doing the Dutch menu now so maybe the other themes have gone better. Personally I feel robbed. We were so hungry we had to eat another fifth course once we got home. Do not recommend. GooglePlace - November 2017
