Tips from the Net @ Kobe House

This was probably the most disappointing tepanyaki experience ever. The food was mediocre at best, their wasn't a knife used while cooking. They used the same spatulas for both cooked and raw food. Don't waste your money. GooglePlace - June 2017

Very poor service, couldn't of cared less about the food, forgot most of the things we ordered. Place felt like it was closing down. Hygiene was questionable with toilets In a poor state. Far too expensive for what you get. GooglePlace - May 2017

These guys have no idea. Cast your mind to Fawlty Towers. The staff have absolutely no clue, there's no coordination between various staff members. We ordered off the fixed menu and then had to ask staff for items that did not turn up. Poor service may be tolerable if the food was good. It's not. Oil with more oil. Avoid at all costs. Do not waste your money here, this place is a dump. The hibachi grill was dirty. The food was too oily. The chairs had ripped fabric. Now everybody was nice and I didn't encounter any service problems, but the Japanese theme of the dinner was a poor attempt. Maybe the owner ought to visit a real Japanese restaurant and take some notes. GooglePlace - May 2017

Extremely poor service, slow and inattentive. Prices are on the expensive side and portions are somewhat on the smaller end and modest. Ambience is nonexistent with rap and Spanish pop playing in the background. This review would have been 1 star had it not been for the lovely (and the only) Japanese person in the premises, the tepanyaki chef who made rather delicious food and was extremely polite and well mannered. I also noticed the way the staff interacted with this gentleman was not in a professional or curt manner which I did not appreciate. Overall given the choices available in Amsterdam, I will not be coming back. GooglePlace - April 2017
