Tips from the Net @ Maz Mez

We went on a Saturday night when the restaurant was quite crowded, but they managed to seat us quickly. The menu consists entirely of small plates, like tapas, either warm or cold. Our first choice was cold yogurt and cheese balls, which turned out to be 3 tiny little bites, ridiculous for €5.50. Our 4 other dishes were beautifully cooked lamb chops, minced lamb patties, and 2 eggplant dishes, all quite good and better value. But we waited almost an hour to be served these "main" dishes, probably due to an understaffed kitchen and only 2 overworked servers handling many tables. So we will not be returning to this restaurant. GooglePlace - July 2017

I love this place! The food is absolutely delicious, the atmosphere is peaceful yet upbeat, and the service is friendly. We celebrated our anniversary there recently and felt cared for in a sweet way. I highly recommend Maz Mez. GooglePlace - June 2017

We had been trying to get a reservation here for the last two AH restaurantacties. This time I booked right away and was very pleased that I did. The atmosphere was impressive - we did not expect how nice it would be inside when arriving. The service was lovely - all staff were very enthusiastic, kind, polite and helpful. The food was great - beautiful presentation and a wonderful selection. A couple of minus points which I don't think are enough to be marked down for, but may be important for others to know: I had specifically asked to reserve a nice table since it was a very important night out for us, also, they apply a surcharge if you want to pay by credit card and we were only informed once they had brought the card read over, not when we first asked if it was okay. Cold mezzes were great, as was the Lebanese flat bread. Warm dishes were good. Fish was cooked great, lamb was a bit mealy, tabouleh was great. The Lebanese wine which was highly recommended, was quite okay. A tad on the pricey side. GooglePlace - April 2017
