It is a nice place. Food is good. The staff comes to ask if you like the taste a lot. The taste is good, but I was not very enthusiastic about the combinations at my plates.
The good liver was a little dry, and the hazelnut paste was to strong in taste for a good combination.
The duck was quite nice, but the combination on the plate didn't improve the experience.
Strong point are the wines. A lot of the wines are available per glass. Quite expensive, but very nice quality and quantity.
The bread (placed without asking on the table) is for free, but the water offered is an expensive paid thing.
Nice food, but just not good enough to be excellent, and at the end the whole experience is too expensive for the quality offered.GooglePlace - January 2018
After over 23 years of travelling and living in Amsterdam and having stayed and eaten in some of the finest hotels and restaurants I found ANNA for the first time this week just by pure chance of waking past and wanting to know what this place was and thought I would give it a go. It is literally a 30 second walk from Dam Square and the Krasnopolski Hotel.
For me this has been one of the finest dinning experiences of my life, I have eaten in The Ritz and Savoy, London to the Landmark and Hilton Horizon Restaurants in Thailand, but this one is above all of them.
The place has been designed in a very modern new and contemporary look and feel and keeping up with how modern places now look that had to be experienced to be believed.
Staff on arrival are warm and welcoming and a nice Hello from the Head Chef as I walked past his domaine added to the experience. Staff looked happy and energetic in their work which to me indicates great leadership from the management.
For a restaurant to have it kitchen on display and in full view of the customer is a masterstroke and a decision that adds to the ambiance of the venue.
I had a salmon starter followed by a steak main coarse that was absolutely divine in presentation and taste. You would have to order it to understand!
The atmosphere was calm and pleasant as the clientele seemed to be consisted of well dressed and professional type. No over loud music and the lighting was perfect with views both to the front of the building and at the bottom on the church and cobbled streets behind.
With 5 beers and an Irish Coffee which generally seem never be copied out of UK restaurants was delivered looking and tasting to absolute perfection. The only time in Europe I have had one this good. The price Euros 59. No service charge and all taxes built into the price so no add -ons at the end.
The experience lasted 90 minuets which for me is how I want it to be. I didn't feel rushed and food delivery was perfect in timing. Big tables with loads of room really did make a difference.
For me this has been the best dinning experience of the last 35 years and one I hope to have again on my next visit.
100 out of 100 without doubts. A Masterpiece !GooglePlace - November 2017
I found this place by chance and enjoyed both the food and the service. Highly recommendedGooglePlace - November 2017
Amazing food, shame about the very poor service. Would have stayed for dessert and coffee but worried we wouldn't get it.GooglePlace - November 2017
The best restaurant we've been to in the centre of Amsterdam. Reasonably priced for the standard of food. We had the steak, risotto and brownie which were all delicious.GooglePlace - July 2017
