Description

RON Gastrobar and anniversary escapades I’ve always been a fan of Ron Blaauw. I liked his down-to-earth gruffness when I interviewed him in his restaurant in Oudekerk years ago. I liked his unapologetic fine dining at Ron ... continue Amsterdam Foodie · Blog

Unpretentious, creative and hearty food for a reasonable price. The service level is in keeping with it's "pub" feel and is more casual. We sat at a large table on the patio. There was another group at our table but far enough away that it wasn't a bother. All dishes were fantastic. Presentation is not top level, nor is the service, but the food certainly is. Randomly found this restaurant when I was googling places to eat in Amsterdam. My husband and I stopped by after spending an afternoon in Vondelpark during a heat wave. We were a little disheveled from our time in the park and the hostess thought we might be a little out of place when we stopped by without a reservation. The food was excellent, every thing we ordered was amazing, this is the kind of place where you can order something without knowing what you are going to receive and you will enjoy it. The prices for the tapas style dishes are very reasonable at 15 Euro each. The desserts are adventurous, The Green Green Grass of Home was refreshing and light and so different from anything I've tried before. Definitely worth a visit, though I'd suggest a reservation beforehand. GooglePlace - June 2017

Disappointing services. First of all we were arranged to sit under the sun even though we booked well in advance a table outdoor IN THE SHADE. Secondly not just the food is slowly cooked also the services come slow too. Thirdly they simply ignored our request for services. It was really a memorable dinner. Thank you. GooglePlace - June 2017
