Standing on the famous site of Amsterdam’s former Sweelinck Conservatory of Music, the Conservatorium hotel opened at the end of 2011. This magnificent Neo-Gothic building was originally built at the end of the 19th Century and in its new incarnation, it has been transformed into a contemporary five-star hotel. Located in the heart of Amsterdam’s museum district (Museumplein) on Van Baerlestraat, the Conservatorium hotel is close to The Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum and the Royal Concertgebouw. Also, the luxury shopping avenues, P.C Hooftstraat and Van Baerlestraat are right on the hotel’s doorstep as well as the charming Vondelpark and the lanes of the Jordaan neighbourhood. The historical centre of Amsterdam is within walking distance. The Conservatorium Hotel is a proud member of Leading Hotels of the World.

Good food. But price are a bit high for what you get. Great atmosphere buy service is on the low side for this range of restaurants. GooglePlace - January 2018

I was there to celebrate the birthday 🎂 of my husband. We had an amazing 12 course dinner, highly recommended. The staffs are very professional. The atmosphere is super cozy and romantic at the same time. Love this place! GooglePlace - December 2017

We went there for our anniversary and they gave us the nicest table. We chose the classic menu. It was tasty and well designed. Next time would go for more fusion choices. Foursquare - October 2017

We choose the classic menu there. The food in general is quite good. I loved the lobster soup. The presentation was also very delicate. I just don't like that they made the duck rare... Don't remember ever having rare docked duck in China. And the dessert was just normal. GooglePlace - September 2017
