Fantastic atmosphere not too crowded at the time and the food was amazing. The beer was okay although not a big pale ale drinker. Prices do seem quite high but for the locale and being in Amsterdam, and given that the portions are huge, this is not as bad as first seem by just looking at the menu. Our waiter told us to checkout a microbrewery nearby with a windmill close to it. Unfortunately we didn't get to see this but appreciated the advice and suggestion. Will return again and anyone going to the Anne Frank huis should go here on their way to or from it. Or put your least valued group member in the queue when it's crazy long and go for pancakes whilst they wait. GooglePlace - March 2017

Visited this place more than once whilst we were in Amsterdam and it's the perfect place for a snack. The pancakes are soo good, and you can choose 2 toppings that you want to go on yours. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, the service was fast and the cafe is quite spacious once you get inside. GooglePlace - February 2017

The pancakes are good and we were seated fairly quickly. However, the staff forgot our drinks and we had to go up & ask before we got them (well after we'd been served food). It's probably just a one-off, they were very nice otherwise. GooglePlace - January 2017

Great place which seems like a cosy cellar. We feel very comfortable and the atmosphere is authentic. The idea to classify pancakes per country is quite unusual and they are delicious. The only problem is the waiting line outside during the peak hour. The staff is really busy and can make mistake (they forgot 1 order). The service remains nice and quite fast. Definitely a top address. GooglePlace - December 2016

Very good, fast, sympathetic service who is ready to advise or suggest. Atmosphere in this restaurant is very friendly and almost as familiar as in private small one family-run Italian restaurants 🍴. Amazing pancakes: both sweet and salty. Seating downstairs gives you more sailor bar vibe, seating upstairs offers more sunny space with a nice view over a canal. In summertime there's also a third option of dining in a small garden by the street and canal. A place highly recommend to taste typical Amsterdamese pancakes but also non-typical great inventions. A must! GooglePlace - December 2016
