Yatta Sushi: pre-Burlesque sushi in deepest, darkest Watergraafsmeer
Yatta Sushi: pre-Burlesque sushi in deepest, darkest Watergraafsmeer Until a few days ago, there was only one reason to go to Watergraafsmeer as far as I was concerned: de Kas. Oh, and possibly Merkelbach if you happened to get lost in the Frankendae ... continue Amsterdam Foodie · Blog

Nice place to dine in Oostpoort. The sushi is fresh and the service is quick. Minimal but nice interiors; the waiter is very kind. GooglePlace - December 2017

The sushi is delicious. The dumplings ain't that good. Tempura was mainly onions. Was a bit disappointed. Expected more after checking other reviews. GooglePlace - November 2017

Yatta Sushi is by far the best place for sushi. The restaurants has some unique sushi rolls you will not find that easily at another place. It also serves traditional Japanese dishes like Sake(salmon) with miso soup and rice(can be changed into fried rice). The restaurant is located in the new part of Amsterdam-Oost called Oostpoort. The neighborhood is very peaceful and tranquil. That same vibe can be found in the restaurant. It has a dark theme with small lights burning in the restaurant. Very comfortable. Yatta has an à la carte menu with a great range of dishes. During my visit, I chose to go for the Sake main dish and a Sake Toro sushi roll. As a drink I took Calpis which is a fizzy dairy drink that tastes like milk with a lot of sugar. To give a verdict on the food: Amazing. Especially the sushi roll was something I would definitely keep coming back for. It was made from the stomach part of the salmon, which is very fatty and chewy at the same time. It had a nice flavor because of the sauce. You will not even need soy sauce! The Sake main dish was overall nice. The fried rice was a great replacement for the steamed white rice. The restaurant staff is also very friendly and will help you to enjoy the food and your stay as a guest to the fullest. So, if you want some great sushi outside of the city centre, I demand you to 100% visit Yatta Sushi. It will not disappoint. GooglePlace - October 2017

Fresh Fish. Not the cheapest place, but definitely worth the money you are paying (better than any all you can eat place obviously). Will visit again.. GooglePlace - August 2017
