I ate at Fjellskål in the market. The shellfish soup was the highlight for me. I had it with the Fish of the Day “Ling” and it was prepared very well. The second day I had a tuna salad and seafood soup. I liked it all but I would get the shellfish soup over everything else. The downside to the market is the bathroom isn’t free, outside, a long walk. GooglePlace - February 2018

Interesting Place Located just on harbor pedestrian walk this is an interesting place to visit and, why not, taste some fish. Most of the places had the same thing which gives you a certain feeling of tourism attraction rather than a regular very early in the morning fish market. The prices slightly differs from one booth to another and you can have different kind of seafood and fish. Go for giant lobster (or king crab) legs and calamari but if you prefer mussels or shrimps this is a nice place to have a mixed plate. Not sure if all the stuff here is “catch of the day” but the place definitely worth a visit. GooglePlace - February 2018

Great atmosphere and even better food. Lots of choice for very varying prices. You can dine expensive in one of the glass restaurants, or relatively cheap in the cosy tents. Everyone is nice and really knows what they are selling, you can ask anything and every combibation is possible. GooglePlace - January 2018

The paradise for every seafood-lover, a great place to enjoy richness od sea depths, provided one has the coin stash. From fresh, frozen, thru smoked, cured, to fried or boiled.. you can also pick your own crab or lobster to be prepped. We tried both fish soups, accompanied by the ubiquitous local micro brews - just amazing! GooglePlace - January 2018

For fresh seafood and shellfish, the Bergen fishmarket is absolutely the place to go. They have crabs as big as me, fresh and smoked fish, and plenty of other things from the sea. The feeling is a little touristy, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t cool things to discover. With a location right along the harbor with the boats right in front, the market really feels connected to the sea. GooglePlace - November 2017
