Description

A pretty decent place. Fair service for a fair price. There is a wide range on the menu with vegetarian options, though on this visit I was only having coffee. Personally coming from a high end coffee culture their coffee is not going to impress, however as a standard coffee venue it won't offend too much. There are places that are much worse. The venue is part book shop so there is a significant amount of clientele there to sit and read. The person I was with were interrupted at one point by someone explaining their reading was disturbed by our conversation. Luckily she was interested enough in our dialogue not to feel hard done by. But she did take the time to let us know so perhaps make your own conclusions. Overall feel is a little stilted and not too exciting but still a pleasent experience all round. My friend and I stayed for many hours quite comfortably. GooglePlace - February 2018

I was with some small nephews of mine during my holiday in Berlin. It was so hard to find a peachful place to sit, until we came across the Buchkantine. Definitely a quiet and excellent place to bring smaller children. The staff is so friendly and moreover is the food INCREDIBLE! Thank you Buchkantine for this amazing experience, I would definitely recommend anyone to pass by. P.S. try their red beet 'Rote Beete' Flammkuchen, simply so delicious! GooglePlace - February 2018

It's a very nice place with relaxed atmosphere and great service. Their flammkuchen is incomparable. Don't forget to make a reservation for Sunday brunch, otherwise it's getting crowded and you might need to wait for a table. GooglePlace - January 2018

I love the concept of this place, its a café a bookstore with an area as a play ground for young kids (2-3 years old kids). You can buy a book along side with a well roasted coffee or a delicious soup. The menu offers as well different breakfasts, brunches and noodels. The WiFi is for free and very reliable.
