Very authentic German bar with nice beer and food. Also very friendly owners, who runs the place for generations since 18th century. Deserves a visit if you are around. GooglePlace - December 2017

Delightful traditional Berliner eatery. Small with mostly local clientele and nice ambience. Thank heavens for no music!. Very grumpy bar woman but very nice friendly man serving at tables. Menu in English as well as German. Traditional food, limited menu but pretty well cooked tho’ kartoffelpuffer were disappointingly soggy - they need to be served straight from the pan & these must have stood around a bit. Reasonable prices. GooglePlace - October 2017

Stumbled upon this and were drawn to the fact that there were only older German men and women there. Smaller, quiet, and serving delicious traditional German food. Would definitely suggest this bar/restaurant over the mammoth trendier spots in the immediate vicinity. Had a great time with my girlfriend who is the best in the world and v beautiful. Entering through the red curtain gets the impression of being learned about a secret of the town. Full of frames and full of history, of people and personalities. The atmosphere is relaxed without falling into sloppiness, the staff polite and fast, the varied clientele and charming. Berlin food, well cooked and simple, not trite, at reasonable prices, low considering the mean and local stature. The Roaring have never gone out of fashion! GooglePlace - February 2017
