I would not say it is like the food i have had in Sardinia, but for Berlin local standarts it is better. Prices are higher, but you can find good starters, pasta and wine. I have been many times here and really enjoy the singing cook and waters, sometimes is packed and better resrve table. Last time i had weird pasta with the whole crab shells inside... so had to return it. At least i appreciate the smiling athmosphere there.

(Maybe other rewies are written by some friends, or by people who are not used to eat good italian food, or maybe something is changed in the meanwhile).
I'm italian, I miss italian food, and sometimes, when I go to restaurant I choose italian restaurant and is not easy to find good places. Mondo Sardo is cozy and in a good position, especially in a sommer sunny day, the service is funny and attentive, Italian trattoria atmosphere, colorful and high volume music. That's lovely! Not the same enthusiasm about the food: What the name on the menu lets you understand is betrayed by the dish itself. The food is not bad, but the flavors are trivial and the price is NOT low.

After you will make an order you will need to wait around 20 minutes for them to come and say that they are not able to cook your order. Finished. No English inside.

This place is amazing. One of the more romantic and enjoyable restaurant experiences I've had. Wonderful service with friendly wait-staff, a real welcoming attitude, and excellent food. The lasagna was sort of "deconstructed"-looking, but delicious. Instead of the usual farewell shots of grappa or amaretto (the standard here in Berlin), the goodbye digestif was a cream and Limoncello liqueur. Amazing.
