Great place in Potsdam ! ONLY friendly service, they may not have the "finest" quality but are doing great with good quality and value. One of the best locations in Potsdam. Warm atmosphere. Recommended ! GooglePlace - September 2017

I went here with an old friend of mine and was hoping to get the well-known sunday brunch. Sadly they recently changed the menu and got rid of that. They also got rid of the best hot chocolate (with cardamon or orange), which - again - I had been looking forward to. However, overall the place is super cozy, the waiters are mostly nice and accommodating and the food is always yummy. My friend and I ended up with the breakfast platter for 2. Not only could we eat out fill (cheese, salami, ham, omlette, jam, salmon, etc.) but the price was absolutely fair (~20€ per person). It also included drinks, so if you want the next best brunch experience, I'd recommend that. Usually booking is not required, but for Sunday morning I'd definitely recommend it, as it's the place to be on Sunday mornings in Potsdam. From there it's very easy to access the Dutch quarters which are beautiful and hiding many small shops. So overall I'd have given this place 5 stars of it weren't for the changes in the menu... We had breakfast here (at about noon, no problem at all!) and it was good. Not superduperextra special but decent food, okay portions and okay service. GooglePlace - May 2017

A place with a long history. Still nice and cozy, but not the haven for intellectuals and revolutionary it used to be anymore. Food was great for the price. Staff charming and friendly. GooglePlace - December 2016

Relaxed cafe serving traditional German fare and a variety of cakes and pastries with a "small town street cafe" vibe. Good selection of lunch or dinner options with beer on tap and a decent wine list. The main draw is the location, with plenty of outdoor seating under umbrellas directly across from a beautiful gate. Service was not great but prices are reasonable and portions are good. Straightforward schnitzel, Currywurst, fish, and German soup options that fill you up and taste how you would expect them to.
