Had a so-so experience at 108 the other day. The food was generally good - we tried 5 plates out of which two were very good but it was definitely not at the level of other Michelin star restaurants we have tried. The real downside was the service, one of the most bizarre experiences I've had, honestly. Waiters were nice but EXTREMELY stressed out and stressful and the service was SO rushed - our plates were snatched from us without asking when there was still food on them, and we didn't even get to try the sauce of one dish! We tried to yell after the waitress but she was gone within a second. We got the feeling the staff wanted us to leave as soon as we got there (we were a small party of three adult women and were not noisy...). Such a disappointment and money not well spent.

We popped to warm up. We had no idea that they brewed their own beer (the Ale was great) and had some great snacks and hot chocolate (or not-chocolate) for the kids. Owned by the guy that runs Noma...so quality is top notch. Prices are totally reasonable. The staff were phenomenal.

The dishes were beautiful! I got the:
Salt baked celerac - the aged cheese sauce was yum!
Brown beech mushrooms
Glazed pork belly (it was huge!) - it was really for 4 people!
Hot Dough Not (not pictured) - the seaweed ice cream was really interesting
My friend and I were wondering if we should get the “Taste of 108,” but glad we didn’t as the items we ordered above filled our bellies!

Defined as modern fine dining Nordic cuisine, 108 lives up to its billing. The atmosphere is stylish and modern and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We tried a few starters, the first a simple artichoke dish was a little bland although the presentation was quite nice. The next starter was an Asian inspired dumpling which was tasty although quite delicate. The most interesting dish was the tempura style mushrooms with an egg yolk sauce which were crispy and delicious. The waiters were very well briefed and gave a detailed description of every dish. Although the starters were interesting they were a little forgettable to be honest, apart from the mushrooms. The main course was a honey glazed pork shoulder which was large and meaty. It came with a side of beetroot salad and a few slices of seaweed style crisps with a dip. Although the flavours were quite rich the tastes became a little repetitive after a while as they were a little over powering. Having said that the portions were very generous and for a fine dining meal, it left us very full. The experience was enjoyable on the whole, but the over elaborate style of cooking and presentation made us question whether Nordic fine dining was our cup of tea.
