It's easy to see why this restaurant has earned a Michelin star. Firstly, a disclaimer: It's not cheap. Especially as a Brit with a devalued currency in an already pricey city - the two of us opting for the 7 course set menu, 2 glasses of wine each, unlimited still water, 2 coffees and a 10% tip was around £375. If you're comfortable spending that sort of money on fine dining (and I am when it's this good) you'll have an amazing experience with incredible food and fautless service that is second to none. The courses are small but justifiably so - with an amuse bouche, 4 appetisers (Four!) and seven courses (including dessert) each, they need to be. Each one with a complex and delicate balance of flavours, textures and presentation and not one of them disappointed. On top of that there was a constant supply of delicious artisanal bread and 2 types of butter to accompany the mains. The fact they can do so much with the flavour, texture and presentation of humble butter made me expectant for the main event and they didn't disappoint.
In a city with a host of great restaurants, including the best in the world, the competition is stiff. I feel they did a great job and I'd gladly go back if I was in town.
