Tips from the Net @ Guru To GO

My experience is that the quality of the food has dropped after the restaurant became "Guru" (before: Indian Taj)....before it would come close to high end restaurants in India. It does not anymore. The food is still good....but not close to fantastic as before....Guru is not really worth it since it is still one of the most pricy Indian restaurants in Cph. If Guru reduced the price with 20-30% (or raised quality) and went back to the old (less noisy) table setup it would get 4 stars. There are alternatives in Cph if you want more value for money. Very Delicious food and great atmosphere- this is the old Indian Taj restaurant that was renovated a few years ago; same great food and some of the friendly staff are the same as been for years GooglePlace - January 2018

Do not waste your money here IF you want a decent Indian meal. We ordered 6 dishes, a mixture of prawns, lamb, chicken and first of all nearly all of the dishes were the same colour. After a while, all the sauces started to taste the same. Food cold, hair(3 strands!) baked into the desert, the staff were far from attentive, chatting away with each other instead of paying attention to their guests! This place has survived on location, their decor and the impression of a fancy sophisticated Indian restaurant - NOT! Super disappointed! Please people - this is not worth your money. Food is really tasty, service is nice and the locale is near perfect. All in all a good experience. Just slightly overpriced. GooglePlace - December 2017

Very central location means it's popular with tourists and it appears the prices are adjusted to match. The high prices (especially for drinks, no tap water either) don't marry with the quality and left me disappointed. Perhaps this is due to an abundance of cheap high quality Indian restaurants in my native UK, as I'm sure this place is good by Danish standards. Unfortunately I can't recommend it and will not be returning. GooglePlace - October 2017
