Small place with a limited menu selection. They offer few but high quality meals. The staff was friendly and despite the restaurant being full it still felt intimate. Lovely classic French dishes and a great wine selection. Will visit again

Le Basilic is my favourite restaurant in Copenhagen. It is very compact and charming. The food and wine is top quality. I find the price reasonable as you have the option of a set menu, which is good value for money.

The restaurant gave initially the impression of being good enough , but when it was the meat in one of the steaks was impossible to cut, the waiter replied that he was sorry to hear that, they had never had complaints , without trying to solve the problem .; after some time and several polite askingsthe plate was brought into the kitchen , then the chef arrived with the plate , rummaging in the flesh and screaming ( !) that he could separate it with his fingers that the guest was full of lies etc. On the whole, the chef made an unfortunate impression , and several of the company's guests perceived his appearance as directly threatening. There was served an alternative to the tough meat, but the good mood was gone as a direct result of the chef's intemperate behavior . Moral: You can not count on a courteous treatment as a guest at this restaurant, but a display of French esprit and hysteria . Overall a bad experience

One year ago I rated this place with four stars, yesterday I came back and it was a fiasco. The ambient was rather bad, just next to us there was a crowded table of noisy drunk customers. I understand that is not the restaurant fault, but other customers were visibly annoyed by that and the personnel didn't do anything about it. I ordered foie gras for starter and it was completely average, same quality you can buy in Irma. The duck was tasty but with a rather chewy texture. Then we waited for more than twenty minutes for a disappointing unflavored ganache that was still partially frozen in the inside. But sadly I have to say that the worst part was the service. The wine came directly in the glass, no bottle was shown and no explanation given about what wine was served. I ordered three wine glasses but only two were served, the dessert wine disappeared mysteriously. When I ordered the bill I got as a response: "Wait five minutes as I have other things to do". Unacceptable. All things considered it wasn't a nightmare, but I expect much more from a place with a 350 kr. menu. Rather disappointing.
