Description

When establishing Relæ in 2010, the NOMA descendants Christian F. Puglisi and Kim Rossen, also wanted to cater for the locals with laid-back quality food. The result was Manfreds & Vin, the first natural wine bar in Copenhagen, serving takeaway and soon also in-house. The tatar became an instant classic, making Manfreds (probably) the world’s only veggie-focused restaurant famous for its raw meat. Eventually the ‘& Vin’ was removed (although the wine is as present as ever!), and the restaurant still focuses on rustic-style cooking using modern techniques and highest quality raw materials – served inside, outside, at lunch and dinner, as takeaway or catering. Organic or biodynamic produce are meticulously chosen in collaboration with Relæ. Vegetables from some of the country’s most skilled nerds like Kiselgården and Birkemosegaard – and our own guy Lasse, who makes lots of veggies and herbs at our Farm of Ideas 40 kms from the restaurant; The best quality meat we are able to find from Danish farmers who raise their animals exceptionally, walking those extra miles for the sake of quality of life – and taste.

Love this place!!! One of my favourite place in Copenhagen Great wine and great food. The best dish is the famous beef tartare. So yummy !!! I do love the homemade bread. And the fact the you can choose the selection of chef’s choices. Perfect for couple or for a group of friend. Food is fantastic... simple but delicious.. all the 7 plates we had were a few ingredients made into something so tasty. The service was perfect, attentive but in no way over the top.. the only thing is the wines... natural wine does not taste as good as unnatural wine! GooglePlace - January 2018

I really like eating vegetarian, but it requires some above average skills to make the food nice. At Manfred they do lack those skills, if you’re into eating two dishes with kale and one dish made out of onions without any fantasy this is your place (not ours obviously) Service was not friendly and ecological wines simple don’t taste as nice as ordinary wines. We choose this restaurant because of it’s connection with Relea but don’t expect any quality in the range of Michelin stars restaurants at all. GooglePlace - December 2017
