Det gamle Hof-apotekets historie Det Kongelig Hof-Apotek er oprettet 1669, og er derfor det ældste apotek i København. Under Frederik III fik Johan Gottfried Becker i 1668 sin udnævnelse til kgl. Hof og rejseapoteker åbnede Elephant Apoteket. Til dette apotek har medicinleverancen til det danske hof så godt som uafbrudt været knyttet. Igennem 175 år drev den Beckerske slægt Hofapoteket, som 1845 blev solgt til cand. pharm. Lauritz Ørnstrup. Ved 250 års jubilæet 1919 skrev den daværende apoteker H. Chr. Helweg-Mikkelsen et jubilæumsskriftet der slutter med ordene: "Og ser vi tilbage over det nu forløbne halvtredie århundrede, må vi vist med rette sige, at de lyse medgangsdage har været langt i overtal. Gid det må blive normen for det gamle apoteks kommende dage."

I had a wonderful time here at the restaurant, great food selection, fresh ingredients, very helpful staff, met the chef as well, very tenanted young chef, he's passionate with food. Must mention the restaurant open till quite late, I was lost in the city after a concert, found this by accident at 1am in the morning, the restaurant still full of people, I was surprise they still in take at that time of hr. Very nice staff, felt relief from lost direction. Totally change my impression of the city. GooglePlace - June 2017

99,- DKK for a flæskestegssandwich I do expect it to be really good. The red cabbage was really good, there were apple slices in the sandwich which is a super idea, good bun and dressing. But the main attraction, a big slice of flæskesteg, was kind of dry and boring. Had I made that flæskesteg myself, I would have felt I had failed. So I definitely expect more from a professional. Great authentic Danish restaurant. Besides the outstanding food quality, the waitress was incredibly kind and willing to help us out. As an example, they cooked a sample for us to make sure that we would like the dish we were about to eat. I would definitely recommend this place, and especially their duck specialty!
