Best suggestion we were given for our trip to Italy was this place! Get the Florentine steak and robbolita soup. Shared communal tables mean you'll end up meeting people and exchanging some fun stories. GooglePlace - March 2018

We went around 1pm and it was very crowded. I had the roasted chicken, and my friends had the roasted pork and Florentine steak. All very good. Side salad was romaine lettuce and tomatoes with no dressing (nothing fancy). Good for lunch. Service was pretty good but again, it was busy. GooglePlace - March 2018

The best deal in Florence. The service was excellent. I ordered a spinach pasta dish that was awesome. We had a party of nine and we all sat together, no issues. I asked the waiter how he made the dish (he was the chef too). He explained in detail how to make the dish (great English). He surprised our group by coming out with a complimentary dish of the spinach pasta. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We had an awesome meal with exceptional service. I loved the place, I loved Florence. GooglePlace - March 2018

Wanted a good lunch on our first day in town and found the reviews here. The restaurant is a narrow shop with family style seating; any open seats will be filled with people so get ready to make friends. The service was lovely, they spoke to us in their best English and tried their best to explain things to us. The menu is on the wall with a brief translation in english such as "Roasted Pork" or "Grilled beef". We got two meat plates that were delicious considering they do not come with sides. After eating either they will give you a receipt or you just walk up to the cashier and tell them what you had to checkout. Overall great first meal to start off the trip! GooglePlace - February 2018

visiting Florence and not visiting this local gem equals not seeing the David statue! A MUST VISIT! Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had (and I’ve had plenty). Service was super (even though they could speak only little English) they were helpful and knew how to take care of foreign guests. Price wise you wouldn’t believe how inexpensive all of this was (plus two bottles of good red wine) ps. Don’t miss out on ordering the desert wine with the small biscuit it’s the cherry on top.
