Similarly tried this place from the Guardian review. High expectation but sadly reality was far from it. There are far better locations for a start but hoping to be impressed I gave it a try. It was described as spit and sawdust and this part of the review was about as accurate as it got.
The service was neither friendly nor rude, just not welcoming. Choice of wine was good and average priced.
The menu was ok, much like most other similar looking places. The meal was disappointing, not bad but not even average. The price was E20 pp which wasn't good value. It wasn't worth finding this place, I wouldn't go back.

Avoid at all cost! Came across this place after reading the Guardian article. Looks nice from the outside but the service is shocking and the food nothing to write home about. Actually came a second time four years after the first visit and for the second time their "famous" wild boar pasta wasn't available "that day"! So many better places to eat in Florence.

The food is just normal, but prices are high ( around 35 € for two people, with no drinks and one dish ). The pasta home made could be home made, but the taste and the texture are as the rest of the common ones. One of the worst toilets I ever seen, you will share with the waiters' change room. The place has too many tables so you really have to squeeze in your place. I won't recommend it.
