Absolutely delightful! We enjoyed Hotel Il Guelfo Bianco for our lovely, large room (the picture here is of the beautiful fresco on the ceiling of our room), the friendly and helpful staff, and the interesting art scattered throughout the hotel. And the breakfast! Delicious fresh breads, coffee, fruits, pastries, cheeses . . . I could go on and on about just the breakfast. Hotel Il Guelfo Bianco is a gem, located a stone's throw from the Duomo. Don't miss it! GooglePlace - July 2017

My daughter and I stayed here for 5 days and it was in the 90's everyday but the air conditioner was able to keep up when we put it on at night. The location, breakfast and staff were wonderful. I would totally recommend. Also, water pressure in shower was great! GooglePlace - July 2017

Two blocks from Il Duomo di Firenze. One block from Galleria dell 'Accademia (Statue of David). Three blocks from Piazza del Mercato Centrale which has a bunch of reasonably priced but fantastic places to eat. Only a Twenty minute walk from the train station. Can't imagine a better location than this. Room was rustic and quaint. A bit more control of the room temperature would have been nice, but it is to be expected from a place like this I suppose. Reasonable room rate and fantastic breakfast which is entirely locally sourced. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Firenze. GooglePlace - July 2017

My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon trip to Italy. The location was great but we didn't like our stay here. The room was so HOT and the air conditioning could not keep up AT ALL. Florence was extremely hot when we visited and we were out of the hotel most of the day so our key card was not in the room to keep the air conditioning on. We couldn't sleep well the whole time we were there because it was way too hot and we asked if there was a way to keep the air on while we were out because the room wouldn't cool down until morning and they said they would leave it on for us but instead just left the lights on which wasn't what we needed. We asked again another day and the problem still never got fixed. If you are going to Florence during summer I wouldn't recommend this place at all, however if you are coming during a different time of year I would probably have no complaints. We have a lovely stay at Il Guelfo Bianco. The location was unbeatable. For breakfast every morning we had some of the freshest bruschetta we've ever had. Our room was great, with a lot of character and space. The bathroom was quite nice and one of the largest I've had at a hotel in Europe. The best part of our experience was the staff. One of the manages/owners spent hours on the phone helping us track down out lost luggage with the airlines, no small feat. On our next trip to Florence, we will happily plan to stay at Il Guelfo Bianco again. (P.S. I would avoid staying in the hotter parts of summer as the A/C in our room was only barely up to the task in the cool of spring) GooglePlace - May 2017
