This is our second time eating here and both experiences were awesome! The staff is extremely friendly and the food is exceptional. My only regret is trying to eat a steak meant for 2 by myself. The cantucci and grappa at the end of the meal left us smiling all the way back to the hotel. A definite must for anyone visiting Florence. GooglePlace - September 2017

The restaurant is clearly a tourist hot-spot - an overcrowded place not able to serve all of its customers properly. We have booked a table for two (well in advance) hoping for a romantic diner in Florence. When we arrived at the place, it was overcrowded and we were asked to wait at the bar, advised that a table should be made available shortly. After 30 minutes of waiting, the waiter again gave us a vain promise of providing a table in 5 minutes. We waited for a total of 45 minutes, wasting precious holiday time and had to leave hungry and exhausted. Luckily, Florence has a number of less marketed restaurants providing a much more relaxed and pleasant experience, so eventually the evening was fixed. However, I would appreciate if the waiters were honest from the beginning letting us know they do not have any spaces instead of promising to provide a table in 5 minutes. An electronic booking system the restaurant uses through TripAdvisor does not seem to work - they overbook the place like airlines... A super experience thanks to Matteo and staff for the great service we received. Food was out of this world and the atmosphere fantastic. It was recommended to us and I'm so pleased we had the opportunity to sample delicious Florintine cuisine!! GooglePlace - September 2017

Surprised by the other reviews for this restaurant. Maybe my experience was unique?? Ordered my food and the tuna was delicious but the olive oil was quite apparent to both my husband and myself to be bitter. Was told by the waiter it was the highest quality, not sure how that's the case as he's from Italy and experienced in the variety of oils here. The waiter till we were almost finished to check on us which is when I asked about getting a different olive oil. Overall maybe it's because we didn't drink and our meal wasn't overly expensive? Also, my salad had brown spots all over it. I honestly don't know what to say other than our pizza this afternoon was better than here. GooglePlace - September 2017

We wanted to try this place since it was recommended to us and had great reviews. It's actually quite a large place and can seat a lot of people. However, when we got there, the host took us to the basement where it was this tiny room in a wine cellar. Like, it was literally four tables in a small wine cellar. He asked us if this was okay and whether it would work for us; I wasn't really into eating in an enclosed basement so I declined, to which he responded with a bad job of hiding his displeased reaction, but he did then take us back upstairs to a normal table in the normal space. Why did he want to stick us in the basement in the first place? I dunno. Anyways, from then on we had some good food and service - got the Florentine steak which we liked. Besides the weird seating experience in the beginning, the rest was fine. It's a nice place. GooglePlace - August 2017
