Di Poneta è una fattoria che prende il nome dal sito in cui si trova, alle porte del Chianti, che fu scelto dalle famiglie più importanti della Firenze medicea come luogo di villeggiatura in quanto ricco di pinete, olivi, vigne, selvaggina e prodotti agricoli di ottima qualità. Alcuni scritti attestano che la fattoria è stata proprietà della famiglia Capponi ed è tra le quattro zone indicate nell’editto del 1716 di Cosimo III dei Medici con cui furono tracciati anche i confini del Chianti. Nel 1895 divenne Fattoria di Poneta come lo è ancora oggi. In continuità con questa tradizione, la nostra cucina propone piatti tipici chiantigiani e toscani, realizzati con ingredienti selezionati e “di giornata” come la pasta fresca, le verdure, le torte e la carne di altissima qualità.

This place was recommended by Andrea at the nearby Hilton Garden Inn. We arrived late and he called over to find us a table. We both had the wild boar stew and were extremely pleased. Within walking distance of many hotels near the airport. If you've never had fried polenta, you must try theirs. And the steaks were cooked to perfection and flavorful. They also had a very nice flourless chocolate cake with cream for dessert. GooglePlace - July 2017
