Amazing. The Steak with arugula is delicious. Bruschettas delicious. The pork delicious. The side of vegetables amazing. Proscioutto with melon amazing. And the Cantuccini with vin sec was exquisite!

We have been in Italy for 10 days and this was the most expensive and by far the worst meal we have had. My wife's starter was pathetic, 9.5Eurs for one chopped tomato and one ball of mozzarella. The staff were rude and slow and a ridiculous 'table tax' of 4Eurs was completely unreasonable. All in all a complete disappointment. I will say that my salmon tagliatelle was nice but the staff forgot to bring pepper, paremesan and balsamic vinegar all of which I had to ask for. I would not recommend this at all

I cannot rave about this restaurant enough. I was studying abroad when I found this restaurant. It was recommended to us by a local. It was by far the best meal I had in Florence and every other place I traveled in Italy. If you sit outside its wonderful to admire the duomo. Don't be discouraged because it is so close to the "tourist trap" they have very reasonable prices and amazing customer service. The gnocchi is my favorite dish but i have never been disappointed with anything I've eaten. The owner is so kind and welcoming.
Since studying there I have been back twice and each time, a stop here is the first thing I do.

Sasso Di Dante was our first meal in Florence and was a real treat. We were skeptical at first because of the restaurants location right near the Duomo, thinking it would be a tourist trap. We quickly realized we were mistaken. When we walked in around 1500 (a very odd time to be eating) the cozy restaurant was practically empty. The owner and waitress were very friendly and gave us plenty of recommendations. I ordered the Eggplant Parmesan and my wife ordered the Lasagna. Each dish was coated in a think layer of cheese and baked to perfection. They were both heavy, and sweet, leaving us full and satisfied. We still agree that they were the best dishes of their kind that we have had. The prices were very reasonable, especially because of the location.
