Yes, owner is arrogant. Come in shorts/fancy dress, whatever! As longe as you are into food and not just "Show me the menu. Ask them to change the dish or just get off as cheap as possible". If you actually pay attention and eat there. It's amazing !! So be open and follow the hosts. This is a hidden gem. But yes, you need to be prepared !! GooglePlace - August 2017

Tom L( the previous comment ) pretty much summarised what we wanna say. We went there for lunch, of cause we didn't dress up.(but seriously who would dress up for lunch?) The owner stared at me from head to toe which made me feel uncomfortable and being looked down already. When I say "Table for two", the own just replied me "There is no table, only seats." with no smile at all. There is no menu. Just the owner who will explain the daily dishes to you. There are five dishes per course. We are asian so our english is not that good. When we asked the owner to explain or repeat 1-2 of he dishes, the owner shows no patience at all. What I wanna say is, there is no menu, how could you expect your customers to remember all of the five dishes in 30 seconds? To conclude, if you are not old enough, well dressed enough, please don't go to this restaurant. If you are not the kind of customers that the owner is expecting, get prepared to be treated rudely. Definitely the WORST MEAL in our 16 days in Italy. GooglePlace - August 2017

I'd heard a lot of great things about this place, so I went in feeling excited to sit down for a meal, but my mood was immediately spoiled by the owner, who, despite not being very busy at the time, sighed and spoke to me and my partner curtly when we asked to see the menu. When he finally showed us several minutes later, he rolled his eyes when we declined to eat there. We felt looked down upon for being young and not dressed up. Other customers who were older and better dressed were treated with more courtesy and did not have to wait so long for service. I expect the food is decent, but just be prepared for disingenuous kindness if you're dressed well and a rude reproach if you don't look like the clientele they're looking for. We came for lunch from a very hot walk... Straight away owner poured us very cold water. No menu, owner explains. Small place but ordering might take a little while. Ravioli were outstanding. Main course you choose from precooked dishes (such as meet balls, slow cooked pig rubs, ossobucco, eggplant parmesan etc Price very reasonable, ambiance lovely. GooglePlace - June 2017

Best meal we had so far in Florence. Generous portion, good service, good selection of wine. Would definitely recommend it GooglePlace - June 2017
