For us, cooking in the traditional way involves buying fresh ingredients every day. We maintain personal relationships with all our suppliers, and know the exact sources of our meat, fish and vegetables. We use this as the starting point for our contemporary style of cooking, conceived with respect for the raw ingredients, using new combinations of flavours to produce dishes which are carefully prepared, light, healthy and delicious. Our commitment here at the “Repubblica” is to serve the cuisine of today, created with all the love and attention of yesterday.

Simply love this place. Food is good, but if you won't like something great wine cart can compensate it all 👌 GooglePlace - August 2017

My husband and I recently attended this restaurant hoping to find something nice outside of the tourist area... It had quite decent reviews online so we were eager to explore. Much to our disappointment, we arrived to find an unattractive restaurant in a dirty run-down part of the city. The waiter was very kind and the service was prompt. However, the food left much to be desired. We ordered the Gnochi and the Osobucco Risotto Alla Milanese only to find both were over-cooked and quite bland; the presentation also left much to be desired. The Osobucco on one of the Risotto dishes was mostly, if not all, just bone. It was very unsatisfactory. For the cost, it wasn't worth it. Word to the wise, if you are looking for a romantic Italian experience, stick to the main areas and avoid this restaurant... from our experience anyway. GooglePlace - May 2017
