Description

This is a very traditional Milanese style Italian restaurant that caters to locals. The menu is in Italian, but if you have a basic knowledge of food or a google translate application, you can figure out what you are ordering. I highly recommend that you make reservations. Typical to most restaurants in Milan, the locals don't start to eat until 9:00 p.m. and the restaurant is mainly tourists from 7-9 p.m. I ordered osso bucco al riso (osso bucco with risotto milanese) while my husband ordered Steak with artichokes. We split a bottle of wine. Both of our dishes delicious. The osso bucco wasn't beautifully plated, but man was it perfectly cooked and just feel apart. I love risotto milanese is risotto cooked with safron to make it that beautiful golden color. The artichokes were fresh and perfectly seasoned hearts. My husbands steak really was a gorgeous piece of meat and well cooked. Both plates were quite large and we were glad we didn't order more food as we wouldn't have been able to eat any more. If you are looking for a traditional milanese meal, I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant. GooglePlace - December 2017

Worst Italian food we ever had!!! It's the ideal tourist trap I thought didn't exist nowadays. The only good things on the table were the water and the wine.. The pasta was WAY over cooked and wasn't even close to be tasty.the mushrooms weren't fresh but from a can! The Risotto was disgusting. Can't believe I fell for that "authentic trattoria" thing. Absolutely awful!!! GooglePlace - October 2017

Delicious Italian tradition in the heart of Milan. Risotto veal was the highlight of our group of 8. Veal was done to perfection with the risotto absorbing the sauces of the meat. Right from entering the restaurant there was a homely down to earth impression of the place with a comfortable hearth setting. They include a nice wine collection through a tiny hole in the wall where you reach the bar greeted by the bartender who is all smiles. Upon ordering the meal you are greeted by a warm and sincere Italian waiter who explains the fully Italian menu (a sign of authenticity) in English and if you ask him for recommendation he will tell you what the season is. Ours happen to be mushroom season and we had amazing starters of fungi. At the end of the meal we were surprised by two live musicians with the clarinet and harmonic (pulling thingy) serenading the diners. Overall a wholesome experience. Recommended! The waiter was friendly and helpful in explaining the menu in English. The food was excellent. Wine plentiful. The ambience was warm and the decore interesting. Recommend for lunch after a long walk around the Duomo. GooglePlace - September 2017
