This is a great place to come for traditional Norwegian food. It's also a fun place to come eat or drink with friends. Their outdoor seating faces out towards Bogstadveien and has plenty of space. The waiters have a ton of work so they can be a little stressed but I don't blame them! 2 floors and an outdoor area makes for a lot of traffic! I have always been happy with the food here. The warm meals are especially great, and I love their chèvre salad. Traditional and hearty meals, normally with large portions. Their Norwegian Christmas food is really good! Drink selection is great. Tons of antique decorations indoors! Almost like a little gallery 😄 What I appreciate most is that they continue to serve a mini menu of sandwiches, fish & chips and burgers between 23:30-02:30 Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday! Perfect during/after a night out! For their regular menu, your best bet is to order by 23 (23:15 latest). GooglePlace - September 2017

I had high expectations after reading other reviews and based on that it is an institution with a local history, but needles to say I was extremely disappointed. The food was even less than average. I had Mackerel from the special summer menu, which was no different to a supermarket frozen pre-battered filet which came with a tablespoon-size cucumber 'salad'. Not recommended the place. Good atmosphere, great beer selection, good food for price. It is also a nice place to go just for drinks and chat with a lovely outdoors terrace. It's quite unique in Oslo and a city landmark. I will definitely go there again. If I had to point out anything is the watering that can be a bit snobbish at times - probably long work shifts GooglePlace - July 2017

Great place with cool interior and very nice terrace on the street. Feels french in style, but kitchen is good Scandinavian/European food. I had reindeer burgers and the day after grilled trout. Very friendly and relaxed staff. Much appreciated and recommended. GooglePlace - July 2017

Stopped in here for a supper on the patio one evening. Great selection of beers, really good food (smoked Salmon!), and great atmosphere. Will stop in again when in Oslo. GooglePlace - June 2017
