Tired of being disappointed by the "freshly baked" baguettes you get served in most cafés? I stopped by for lunch first time last week, and have kept coming back. Finally a place where you can depend on the crust still being crunchy, and the tomato not sogging the bread. They also know how to brew a nice cup of coffee! And when you consider the price point of the other options in the area, this joint comes out very reasonable. What's not to like??

Nice cozy café. Good coffee, good sandwiches. The cakes are OK, some factory products. Great with kids.

Bad coffee, not very nice to sit inside.

My favourite café in Norway.
Living in Kristiansand, it's rare that I have the opportunity to eat at Carinas, but when I'm in Oslo I make damned sure to visit at least once.
It's family friendly
Have a great selection of teas
And best of all, they sell the local open-source soda Tøyen Cola
