The food in the restaurant is great. Just to warn you though it is very expensive but Oslo is. We had the reindeer, the Christmas platter, two juices and a shared bottle of water, no starters or dessert and our bill was equivalent to £100. It is like no other place though the building is beautiful and the view breathtaking. Service was fast and efficient. GooglePlace - December 2017

The food served here is amazingly hearty. We had elk meatballs and apple pie, both of which are a must-have at this place! The portions are huge, for what you pay - by Norwegian standards this place really can't be called pricey. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking, especially on a cold, snowy afternoon! Can get a bit busy on weekends though.. Highly recommend! GooglePlace - December 2017

On a rainy day we thought it would be a good idea to visit Frognerseteren, because it would not be that many people. How wrong could we be. The place was packed with people inside, but we were able to find a table and enjoy a good sandwich and coffee. Great service from the chef, they were out of elgkarbonade sandwich, but he made 3 since we were 3 having that. Great people working, a lot of tourists, and a good atmosphere this day. So for those who want to have a good time, I would recommend you to enjoy the old place, and the lovely view, no matter the weather. GooglePlace - August 2017
