Tijuana – Mexican fire
Tijuana – Mexican fire There’s a massive Mexican food hype going on in the city at the moment, and while Taco Republica seems to be a fixture on everyone’s lips – it’s still possible to get a table at Tij ... continue Oslo Spotted by Locals · Blog

Food was good, lots of good flavours, the tortillas were nice and tender! However the service was lackluster, they forgot our order and it took forever :( I could go back here, but with so many nice places in Oslo, I don't see why I should. If you don't mind a wait, or drinks that are way on the sweet side - Tijuana is a good fit for you! GooglePlace - February 2018

If you’re used to eating authentic Mexican food made by Mexicans, this is not the place for you. The tacos had no flavor, the chicken tacos was rather dry and you needed tons of salsa to even get a proper taste. The beef was just ground beef with what seemed like a weak texmex seasoning. The ceviche tacos were good and tasted fresh, but yet not worth the price and didn’t taste very Mexican. Maybe the other tacos are better, but I usually always have beef and chicken tacos and I’ve never been disappointed before going here. The guac had a lot of yellow onions instead of red onions which in my opinion didn’t work all that great. The main was good tho, it was slow cooked ox meat where you got warm wheat tortillas to kinda make the meal yourself. It said you could add spicy beans for 39nok which ended up being a bean dip and it wasn’t spicy at all... but all in all, the main was was basically the only thing we tried that was worth the money. Great drinks tho and awesome atmosphere, but seems more of a cool folks place where your Instagram photos and drinks are more important then what you’re actually eating. Oh and not the best service either even for low Norwegian standards nor did they have an English menu. I GooglePlace - January 2018

Really good tacos. I've been quite a few times and I'm always pleased. My favorites are the lamb, cheviche and of course the churros. There are tasting platters of tequila and I can recommend the one with Don Julio 1942. Please note that you have to order food to get drinks, due to wired Norwegian law. If you're visiting in the evening (after 19:00) during the weekend you should probably book a table. GooglePlace - January 2018
