Tips from the Net @ Le Deauville

In my last night in Paris, I wanted to have a nice dinner, in the best French way. So I was there... I was very well attended by the staff, they were very nice and helped me to select my meal! I had the Escargot as an opening plate, it was delicious and very well done. After this, he suggested me the Irish Angus with potatoes, it was fantastic. It's not a cheap place to eat, but it's worth it indeed, I strongly recommend checking if you are in Paris, it's very easy to find in the Champs Elysées, and you will be very well treated. You're at a tourist honey spot so do not enter with high expectations. Yes prices are on the high side, not ctazy, but this is the middle of the Champs Elysees so what do you expect....food acceptable, not a gourmet destination but if you are tired and hungry it will be OK, but only OK. Staff try hard but after all they are working for tips. Waitets dress like an ad. from a Jean Paul Gautier commercial....slightly.....definitely not a Parisean catwalk....Enjoy, lower your expectations and absorb Paris to the full. Only 1 out of 3 dishes we ordered was good. Our server initially appeared really friendly but after we ordered tap water, he came back with bottled. I asked again for tap water but he said it was "spoiled" (???). I inquired how much the water was and he said $7... it was actually $7.90. When I decided not to order anything to drink, he became incredibly rude- ignoring my request for the bill, giving me the wrong change, and literally THROWING the change on the table.
