NO FRILLS, MORE THRILLS The pairing of inn and restaurant provides an unusual opportunity for sampling freshly prepared home-style Czech food. Beer at the restaurant is drawn under the supervision of Lukáš Svoboda, the 2010 Pilsner Urquell International Master Bartender, and served directly from the tanks in which it is brewed. RUN BY MODERN TRAVELLERS WITH MODERN TRAVELLERS IN MIND Rooms and suites that embody the boutique style offer every modern convenience and guests may expect to draw on a wide range of services. The close proximity of the Charles Bridge and the setting – the district known as Malá Strana – conspire to create the illusion of history drawing nearer. Our hotel aims to heighten this effect without compromising our devotion to 'no-frills chic'.

This place is right off the Charles Bridge. They were taking reservations, and pretty full at 5p on a Sunday night, but we got a table for two. My wife ordered the raspberry soda beer, but they were out of the soda. The lemon soda beer was ok. The frankfurter variety appetizer was very good,'especially the smoked one. My wife had the roast beef with bread and potato dumplings. She didn't care much for the dumplings, but the beef and gravy were delicious. I had the fried cheese and mashed potatoes with onions. Both delicious. All that, plus two beers came to $30. An outstanding bargain. Good menu selection. Waitstaff were smiling, friendly and helpful. GooglePlace - November 2017

Decent food for a reasonable price . We had the mixed frankfurter starter and pork skewers and fried cheese for mains. The pork skewers tasted good with the beetroot side but the meat was overlooked and hence quite tough and difficult to chew. The fried cheese was a bit bland, the cheese itself didn't taste like much.. the taste came more from the dipping sauce which tasted like a sweet onion mayo sauce. Overall it's a good enough meal close to the city centre but nothing wow. GooglePlace - November 2017

I do not recommend this restaurant at all. I chose this restaurant because of its high ratings. I visited for lunch and it was quite packed. We were greeted at the bar and were told to choose our own seats. The drinks did not arrive after 10 minutes of ordering even though we only ordered sparkling water. I had my coats on an extra chair and I supposed the manager (as he wore a black suit) told us to remove our coats and he took the chair without even giving us time to grab our coats. He knocked the chair on my leg and did not even bother to apologise. The waitress saw what happened and kept quiet. We had to call the waitress 3 times to order our food. On the 3rd time, she told us 'Sorry, you see I am busy' and served other tables who came after us??. I got a wrong dish so I had to wait another 5 minutes (without an apology again). The food itself was okay. I must admit that they have reasonable prices considering their location. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I would not go back again. Food was typical Czech and decent portions! Avoid bread dumplings... Atmosphere was excellent, Saturday night busy and full of life. Great experience! GooglePlace - October 2017

Personally, I liked it. We came in for dinner. Waiters were in a bit of haste, as a lot of people were there, but we were served quickly and received our meal on no longer than 5 minutes. They were tasty, big and satisfying. However we opted for Lokal's specials and ended up with good price, others need to be supplied with dumplings and vegs, so often can become pricey. Nevertheless, I really recommend this place for a quick and tasty dinner. GooglePlace - September 2017
