Due to its location, this is obviously a touristic place, this been said, the food quality is very good. I had 1/2 roasted duck, which was absolutely fantastic, served with red cabagge, a slice of apple and two kinds of dumplings. The meat was tender and full of flavor, the skin perfectly roasted and sprinkled with fennel (?). Great food esperience. My wife had a goulash soup in a bread bowl. Great flavor, good amount of meat and vegetables, and the bread is good (although not fantastic, it is not sourdough for starters).
I gave it four stars because the beers in the beer sampler was not carbonated enough, and also the beers are very similar to one another. Why offer a sampler of six beers if four of them have only small variations? Also, coming back to the touristic zone, I asked for still water expecting to get tap water, and instead received a 250mL, 50 Kč, water bottle, which is really annoying.
The staff is friendly, the place is very nice (take a look at the cellar downstairs), but there are maybe too many tables, so it feels a bit cramped.
Tried neither dessert nor coffee.

Refused to serve tap water along with our order. I can't stand when a restaurant insists on squeezing their patrons this way. It literally costs them nothing, they just see the chance to get a little more money out of everyone. Terrible.

The place serves traditional Czech cuisine so, as you may expect, there is virtually no vegetarian choices. Although the one salad that I could eat was tasty and my husband was praising the goulash! Staff is great and draft Staropramen even better. All in all a pleasant dinner experience except for the music that does not fit the local at all.
