Tips from the Net @ Oliva Verde

The food here is excellent with a great menu and also, if you are sitting in the right place, a view of the Astronomical Clock. While we were eating our meal, the clock struck nine and the windows by it were opened and the young ladies played Christmas Carols on brass instruments! The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient and know their menu. The food is excellent and served at just the right place. The restaurant is nicely furnished and very comfortable, even when seated outside under the awning, and the provide blankets food those who like this style of eating. Recommended! We found this restaurant on Christmas Eve, when everywhere else was already fully booked. But we were not disappointed at all. The staff was really friendly and nice, despite the fact that it was Christmas Eve and they had to work! Out of 5 dishesh, 4 were perfect. The Steak was the highlight. The beef dish was unfortunately really dry, But in general I cannot comprehend the 1,9 rating the restaurant has been given. GooglePlace - December 2017

Workers are too rude and they ruined our time at Oliva Verde. The drinks we had weren't good and they were too expensive. Wouldn't recommend. GooglePlace - August 2017

Trying to scam you by taking a photo saying 'i only want to see people smile' then before you know it they printed it on a magnet and dare to sell it for 12,50 €. Food was marginally ok, found 4 hairs in my pizza marg that took over an hour to make. Very overpriced. Only good thing was its location. GooglePlace - August 2017

This is a tourist trap I sat and had a tiramisu ice-cream costing 170 crowns which is about 7-8 British pounds low quality ice-cream and no coffee in the tiramisu. A lady came round and offers to take my photo and she did to others as well. After ten mins she came out and offered the photo that she had printed on a magnet for 250 crowns (10 quid) not only was it an awful photo but to be scammed in such a way in a cafe is wrong. Avoid this place there are plenty of others who are decent who won't rip you off around in Prague. GooglePlace - August 2017
