(Short version: Nice looking place, mediocre food, rude service.) We went to this place during our second day in Praque. We had some trouble with tipping since the bill was completely in Czech. In Praque, you're are generally expected to give 10% tip. However, some places include the tip automatically to the bill. Places that don't do this, usually have big "TIP NOT INCLUDED" marked in the bill in english. Our bill had some extra fee marked for both of us and we assumed this was the tip. As it turned out, it was the small bag of "complementary" bread they brought to us without asking. Bag included two small pieces of dry bread and few smaller pieces of some kind of snacks. So, when we paid the bill without adding the 10% tip, the waitress got angry at us. After we asked him to explain the bill to us, we of course apologized and paid the tip separately. However, the whole situation was really awkward. Simply informing us politely about the expected tip would have done the trick. So... shame on us being ignorant tourists and not understanding bill written in Czech, but shame on them handling the situation really poorly. The food itself was mediocre. Not bad, took away the hunger, but not really what I expect when I go to restaurants. The bread bag they bring while you wait your food, seemed to be just a way to charge some extra. Few pieces that were in the bag, were small and dry. Ice tea was also watery and didn't really have any taste. Wouldn't recommend. Going randomly to any other place, will probably get you better food and service. GooglePlace - July 2017

Disgusting place, sat down outside for a drink, started to rain, and when we tried to go inside to finish our drink, we weren't welcome as we were not going yo eat!!! We were literally pushed outside! Unbelievable!!! Never ever! They even dear to complaint to us for a menu that was outside, got wet, and damaged!! Do they really think we are interested in causing damaged to their papers???? The staff was rude and anpolite to us, by the way, we are 4 people: my mother,my sister, my daughter and myself, family group, I don't think we have ever been treated so poury. Sad people........ I work in a big travel agency in Spain, and its very useful to know all this, plenty of places to eat in Praga, who need to waste money and time in such a terrific place, having just round the corner a proper restaurant, with friendly and profesional staff: the Republic restaurant, nice place, nice atmosphere, nice food. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid. Complete tourist trap. Ignorant staff, completely lacking in any degree of customer service. Waitress was bordering on aggressive when we asked for our pizza after a forty five minute wait.... Handed a bill for bread we didnt order, and 4 euro for a bottle of TAP water. There are so many faults with this place that it's hard to describe. There are so many nice places to eat in this district, at really reasonable cost, there is no need to venture in here. Enter the Coloseum at your own risk...... as an Emperor once said. GooglePlace - June 2017
