Tips from the Net @ U Kočku

I've been here on few occasions throughout a span of few years. Same behaviour, no sight of changes! Every time, we were conned by different methods; we were randomly brought shots and asked to drink them, the waiter even tried to make a toast with us (for which you have to argue to return), we weren't given a receipt and the price calculated was obviously higher than what we ordered. They charged us for the live music, a sauce (gravy actually that's a part of the dish, in either case, we didn't ask for it nor were told it will be added), so good luck challenging their price calculation. For the note, we spoke the local language to them and still got conned. Good to mention that the service is terrible, they don't respect customers and make you feel like you are a bother to them serving you. They do have a central location and will always have customers, at least for now; if you stumble upon this review, please don't support them by going there or at least be very cautious when you do. The food they serve isn't exceptional, average at most and you can surely get much better Czech beer than the one they micro brew there. GooglePlace - September 2017

The food was ok and the atmosphere was nice but the two ladies lied to us and tried to force us to choose more expensive dishes than the ones we wanted and pressed us to order quickly. Thanks to another server we got what we wanted. We thank the guy for being normal to touristes who can't speak czech. GooglePlace - September 2017

The food was really nice, the atmosphere was cool.... However the wait staff was terrible. I've heard in Prague you get bad customer service, but this was just awful. No smiles from anyone, it seemed like we were a bother to them, and when we needed to pay the server was cussing us out (in Czech, under his breath) because we tried to make it clear that we were not all on 1 bill. We wanted to pay for 4 people's meals individually. 3 of us had cash, the other paid with a card... Apparently that was too much of a hassle. So we were trying to put our money together and he just walked away! (Hello?!? We want to just pay and get on with our vacation!!!!) but we waited (honestly we wanted to just walk out on the tab due to how incredibly rude and aggressive he was towards us.) and when he returned he continued to be rude... We eventually just paid with a card, and paid our friend back. But... Don't go to this place with a group, especially if you want to just pay individually. Absolutely the worst experience.
