Truly awful. The worst place we visited in Prague. Service was appalling, the waiter was downright rude. Bread and condiments on table are brought to you without asking for them and charged for regardless of whether or not you eat/use them (we had spotted the covert charge and opted not to). No options for veggies/vegans. My friend who does eat meat said his meal was bad. And to top it off they tried overcharging for the already overpriced meal and when we requested the correct change they still underpaid us. Avoid! There are plenty of far better places to visit. Came with Czech family for some great beer and to enjoy this lively pub. Go down stairs as the atmosphere is great especially if there is live music. Be warned thou the pretzels on your table are not free . Enjoy. GooglePlace - January 2018

This has a real beer cellar. The building and the furniture were really one of the reasons we went to Prague. The beer is cheap enough for the Old Town but the billing system with regard food is a bit weird. There are pretsils on the tables when you sit down and you are charged for each one you eat so be aware also the lady asked us if we wanted an aperitif and promptly produced 2 shots. Given the way she asked the question and not asking what aperitif we wanted we assumed they were free... no chance. Nothing in Prague is free. If you eat it drink touch it or in some cases look at it you are charged. A tip for hostileries in Prague, people like music a lot of the placed we went into had absolutely no music also people like staff to smile and maybe say hello. GooglePlace - December 2017

The upstairs bar is nice. Beer is cheap enough and good and there's a comfy snug to hide in. Downstairs however the restaurant part is a bit chaotic. It took absolutely forever for some very basic bar snacks/starters. Also some guy accidentally dropped a salt shaker from the balcony on someone's head. This informs is completely unrelated to the review or the score but I thought you might like to hear a funny and slightly tragic story. GooglePlace - December 2017

We visited U Vejvodu last Wednesday. Food was lovely, great atmosphere. We were served by Veronika, very kind and hard working lady. In comparison with other pubs in central, prices were reasonable. Veronika definitely deserved her tip. Just be aware the pretzels on the table are not complementary, this should be more clear ;/ otherwise we really enjoyed the place. GooglePlace - October 2017
