This is the tap outpost for the Italian gypsy brewer, offering roughly a half-dozen taps, including their remarkable Heller Bock and Rauchbier that speak to Upper Franconia. Charcuterie is the focus of the food menu. GooglePlace - April 2017

While at the internationally-famed Ma Che, I asked a local patron about other beer spots in Rome. He suggested Stavio. The next day, my friend and I met at Stavio. I was coming from Termini so I hopped on the train for a few stops (1 euro) and popped out maybe 5 minutes away from the bar. Stavio is a welcoming brewery that hosts plenty of local guest brews too. Their selection seemed really solid and, while they don't offer flights, they were plenty happy to provide samples of whatever beer we wanted to try. They also had a special for an appetizer plate of varying items, so we grabbed that. It somehow managed to fill me up prior to dinner! While here, I tried: - Tiburzi by Terre Di Faul - Erzsebet: Terre Di Faul - Five Points IPA: The Five Points Brewing Company (This was a total accident. I'm not an IPA person! We meant to order the APA) - Glory Old: Birra Stavio (My only full pour. Very good!) - Maremma Impestata: Birrificio degli Archi I'd recommend a visit to this brewery if you like trying new brews and you're in the area. GooglePlace - March 2017

Very pleasant restored industrial space now serving good beer in a very comfortable environment. Non-traditional setting, quite more continental than Italian. GooglePlace - January 2017
