Akiko's is an unmarked (no sign out front) place near an Irish bar, and it serves very high quality fish in a serene and contemplative environment. For your money, you could do a lot worse. The service is solid. The uni, when available, is fresh and seems to be right out of the ocean. The amberjack, also seasonal, isn't cheap, but you get a fabulous piece of spanish mackerel that is hard to come by even at higher end restaurants. GooglePlace - April 2017

I can say confidently that this is the best sushi I've ever had, anywhere on the West Coast. Delicious, fresh fish that surely have never seen the inside of a freezer. Smooth textures and bold flavours. Money well spent. GooglePlace - April 2017

If you like sushi then you will love this place. Literally every thing they serve is as high-quality as I've seen anywhere in my life. Their uni is to die for. Make a reservation or you're unlikely to get seated. Trust me, it's worth it. GooglePlace - March 2017

Definitely worthy of the hype. Great fish, great rice but the service leaves something to be desired. Would definitely recommend it tho! Just know you're spending $100/pp going in and enjoy! GooglePlace - February 2017

Best sushi I've had and I've eaten it in Japan. Took a client here and she raved the next day to everyone at the conference about her amazing meal. It was that good. Couldn't remember the name of it forever, so glad I found it again on the map :) GooglePlace - February 2017
