This was our favorite restaurant during our week in SF. Fantastically prepared fresh fish and shrimp risotto. The duck and lamb earned top ratings from those in our family that weren't in the mood for seafood. A small, quiet place off the beaten touristy path, but just around the corner from the famous Painted Lady houses. The waitress took great care of us and brought complimentary warm chocolate cake for desert. She even overheard us say that my son couldn't eat the cake due to allergies and quickly brought him some ice cream. Next time we come back to SF we will go out of our way to eat here again. The special fish dish was very nice, and it comes with rice and vegetables. The vegetable pasta sauce was a kind of tomato based cream sauce. My favourite is the warm baguette. Good comfort food! GooglePlace - May 2017

The staff here is so much fun. The fish is delicious. I've come here with friends and family. Great for a nice dinner. GooglePlace - April 2017

Ok. Let's get the negative out of the way. Service. Ridiculously slow. Have some patience. Let the food do the talking. Try not to get upset that service is unfriendly and snail-like. Sounds terrible cause service really initiates the standards at a restaurant but I feel like this place should be given another shot. The prix fixe menu is fantastic. For $14.50, it's just ridiculous. You start off with either soup or salad. Pick an entree. I ordered the trout that evening which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. For dessert, they offered a meringue which was alright. I think the star of the show was the entree. Fresh, tasty, delicious. They also offer no corkage fees on Wednesdays but you can't order the prix fixe menu. It's a small spot so you can smell everything that's going on in the kitchen. Get past the service and you'll love this place. 4 stars. GooglePlace - March 2017
